Developments in the Design of Efficient X-ray Optical Elements Using Large Arrays of Glass Capillaries

Abstract: We have characterized an optical element designed to convert divergent x rays into a quasi-parallel beam. For Cu K radiation, it transmits four times the x-ray power of a slit-based collimation system of comparable energy resolution.
