Device-to-Device (D2D) Communication as a Bootstrapping System in a Wireless Cellular Network

Abstract: Device-to-Device (D2D) communication is considered to be a promising form of technology to distribute video contents to nearby users and devices at a high data rate and with few delays. In this paper, we propose utilizing the D2D services and cache of mobile devices as a bootstrapping system in a cellular network. The main objective of a bootstrapping-D2D (BD2D) system is to improve the quality of service in terms of achieving the minimum startup-time of popular video files in a cellular network. To achieve ou… Show more

“…where K refers to the first transmission success rate of cellular network D2D communication. e D2D communication reliability index of the cellular network can be calculated by formula (1) and formula (2). For the calculation of stability index, this article adopts the link failure estimation model, sets up the evaluation node in the cellular network D2D communication, and takes the node as the center to establish the spatial three-dimensional coordinate axis.…”

“…Cellular network D2D communication usually takes electromagnetic wave as the carrier to receive and transmit network signals. A cellular network electromagnetic wave communication system plays an important role in implementing long-range precision strike and target precision guidance [1]. In the electromagnetic wave communication system of the cellular network, because the routing protocol evolves with the mobile location algorithm, the routing location cannot meet the needs of useful QoS, resulting in the buffer overflow problem, which needs to be repaired [2,3].…”

“…In the literature, studies on D2D cache placement mostly considered optimization-based approaches that disregarded practicality aspects. Optimization problems are formulated and solved in order to maximize coverage [6], of loading [7], hit ratio [9,14,15,16], minimize delay [8,11] and minimize cost [10], under constraints such as cache capacity [15], delay and coverage [16]. An optimal cache placement problem that aims to maximize of loading has been formulated and solved jointly with the D2D link establishment scheme in [17].…”
