Abstract:Among patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI), those in cardiogenic shock have the highest mortality rate. Early revascularisation with primary percutaneous intervention or coronary artery bypass surgery has decreased the mortality rate of patients in cardiogenic shock, but it remains high.
