Diagnosing lymphogranuloma venereum: two men taking HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis presenting with genital ulcer disease

Abstract: Early recognition of lymphogranuloma venereum can prevent significant morbidity. As the diagnosis of genital-inguinal disease can be challenging, clinicians should have a high index of suspicion in patients with relevant clinical features and risk factors. We present two recent cases seen at an Australian Sexual Health Clinic within a three-month period that highlight the variety of genital-inguinal manifestations.
