Abstract: Der Effekt ist so überraschend, dass man einen Trick vermutet. Mit Recht, denn die benutzten Kugeln sehen zwar gleich aus, aber eine oder gar mehrere von ihnen haben es in sich: Sie sind magnetisch (Abbildung 1). Die heranrollende Kugel wird durch die Magnetkugel auf kurzer Strecke stark beschleunigt und prallt mit großer Geschwindigkeit auf die Anordnung der ruhenden Kugeln, ohne dass man die Heftigkeit so richtig bemerkt.
