Abstract:Electric polarization and induced birefringence of PLZT 10/65/35 are investigated. The electric and electrooptic material properties of PLZT 10/65/35 at room temperature are affected by a diffuse phase transition. The effective quadratic and the effective fourth order electrooptic coefficients of the ceramic are determined by halfwave voltage and compensator methods. Absolute values for the polarization induced effective quadratic electrooptic coefficients are obtained by a holographic method. Consequences for… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
