Diesel Biofuels - Preparation, Characterization and Testing

Abstract: The present paper studies biodiesel samples preparation by transesterification and compares their physical and chemical properties (biofuels prepared from different raw materials - vegetable oils: sunflower oil, crocus oil and soya bean oil) and the biodegradability degree, as well as the possibilities of the integration of such production unit in industrial diagram of auto fuels production.

“…A chemical modeling study on the molecules hyperforin, naringin, and naringenin, as well as the drug imatinib, was performed, using the HyperChem software [18][19][20][21]. The investigation of the binding of these molecules to the active site of the receptor was performed using HEX software [22].…”

“…Because of the fact that both algorithms were implemented with the help of the same software, the mathematical model will not suffer substantial changes. Judging by the previous experiments as well as by the numerous scientific articles [10][11][12][13][14], in which the influence of biodiesel on the final blend has been studied, it was chosen to consider that the properties are additive. The equations of the mathematical model are presented as follows: formula (1) represents the function that must be minimized.…”

“…The condition corresponding to the wanted quantity, formula (2), being the equality, will be represented separately, in matrices Aeq and Beq, their names being derived from equality. The two matrices are illustrated in formula (10). (10) where Aeq= matrix associated with the left members of equality;…”

“…Several authors [6][7][8][9] considered that density and viscosity are important properties of biodiesel. The developments of studies and mathematical models that can describe the influence of biodiesel proprieties present a great interest for the future.…”
