Abstract:The University of Arizona Polarization Lab developed an Infrared Channeled Spectro-Polarimeter (IRCSP) to measure linear Stokes parameters with 1K polarimetric accuracy and 1µm average spectral resolution between 8-11µm. [1][2][3] Emissivity and refractive index in this spectral band are known to depend upon water's kinetic temperature and thermodynamic phase. In this work, the theoretical thermodynamic phase discrimination capabilities of spectral Long-Wave-Infrared (LWIR) polarimetry are demonstrated with IR… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
