Differential Pulse Voltammetric Simultaneous Determination of Four Anti‐Inflammatory Drugs by Using Soft Modelling

Abstract: An application of a partial least squares calibration method for the simultaneous voltammetric determination of indomethacin, acemethacin, piroxicam and tenoxicam is suggested. It was shown that it is possible to resolve complex mixtures of analytes even when they have strongly overlapped signals. In order to check the proposed method, statistical analysis of the results was performed by mean of hypothesis tests. The method developed was applied to the electrochemical reduction region of four anti-inflammatory… Show more

“…Therefore, the simultaneous determination of these compounds by means of direct measuring of peak current is not possible. Thus, a multivariate calibration analysis by PLS was carried out, which has been demonstrated to be very useful in the resolution of overlapped electrochemical signals [36,[41][42][43].…”

“…There are too many works which have been reported in the literature in which first-order electrochemical data have been used to build first-order multivariate calibration models. These works have been performed for food analyses [193][194][195][196][197][198][199][200][201][202][203][204][205][206][207][208], pharmaceutical and pesticide residues analyses [209][210][211][212][213][214][215][216][217][218][219][220][221][222][223] and environmental pollutant analyses . Developing novel and efficient analytical methods based on coupling of first-order multivariate calibration with electrochemical data is very important from analytical point of view because such analyses are usually performed by UV-visible spectrophotometry, atomic absorption spectroscopy, inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry, X-ray fluorescence analysis, gas and liquid chromatography, near infra-red spectroscopy and mass spectrometry.…”

“…Com o advento das técnicas eletroanalíticas, os sensores eletroquímicos ganharam novos espaços nas diversas áreas de pesquisas. Dessa forma, vários trabalhos vêm sendo publicados em revistas especializadas, em que os autores relatam diferentes tipos de eletrodos utilizados na quantificação de espécies eletroativas [3][4][5][6][7] . Podese destacar entre eles os eletrodos de pasta de carbono (EPCs) [8][9][10][11][12] .…”
