Differential sorting of two glucose transporters expressed in insulin-sensitive cells

Abstract: The insulin-regulatable glucose transporter (IRGT) is specifically expressed in muscle and fat cells and undergoes translocation from an intracellular compartment to the cell surface following acute insulin treatment.
