Abstract:A study of the thermoelectric power of the two-dimensional hole gas for both diffusion and phonon drag effects has been presented in this paper. Diffusion thermopower has been calculated using Boltzmann's transport equation and constant density of states function. The phonon drag thermopower has been estimated from a simple formula suggested by Smith and Butcher which is valid for piezoelectric as well as acoustic phonon scattering of non-degenerate hole gas at low temperatures. The effect of phonon mean free … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
