Abstract:Diffusion of hydrocarbon species in an MFI‐type zeolite was investigated using a coarse‐grained approach combined with Kinetic Monte Carlo (KMC) simulations. The model was employed to capture and isolate the essential characteristics of hydrocarbon diffusion such as molecular pushing, passing, and blocking. A modified Lennard‐Jones type forcefield was used to approximate interactions between molecules, and molecules with the oxygen in the zeolite lattice. The basis for the rate expressions is configurational d… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
