Abstract: The complex reaction mechanisms and dissolution pathways that drive oxygen evolution reaction on metal and metal oxide surfaces under acidic conditions challenge the development of a highly active, highly stable, and low cost catalyst for proton-exchange membrane (PEM) water electrolyzers.
