Digital Tomosynthesis to Evaluate Fracture Healing: Prospective Comparison With Radiography and CT

Abstract: Tomosynthesis provides diagnostic information superior to that of ra diography in postoperative evaluation of wrist fractures with lower cost and radiation than CT and should be considered in fracture follow-up imaging of other bones.

It has also been used for evaluation of fracture healing [15], with similar results. In peripheral arthritis imaging, it has been shown to be better than radiography but not as good as CT [16] but almost as good as MRI in detecting erosions [17].…”
