Digital technologies ensure the competitiveness of agriculture and have the ability to attract investment. They are needed to increase milk yield and improve the quality of dairy products. "Smart Farm" is a fully robotic facility that analyzes the feasibility of production. For example, this analysis indicates the economic feasibility of breeding certain breeds of farm animals. Now milking robots are used all over the world. If the average milk productivity of cows is 5,000 liters per year, then due to the introduction of modern technologies, the result can be up to 12,000 liters per year. Another plus is the fact that the production process can take place without the presence of an operator. A smart farm is a fully automated process. Such a farm can independently calculate the economic profitability of its production, where the necessary digital technologies are used. Based on the analysis, a decision is made to optimize the production process.

Best practices of farmers using modern digital technologies demonstrate high results achieved both in crop production and in animal husbandry. Efficiency is expressed in increasing the yield, labor productivity, reducing costs, and what is more, in preserving soil fertility and protecting the environment. However, the need to digitize managerial and analytical processes based on Big Data, Data Science implementation and the ability to interpret the obtained analytical material and make qualified decisions based on a scientific approach are often missed the memo. In light of this, the purpose of the study was to analyze the readiness of various company unit categories employed in the agro-industrial complex of Russia to use big data and process it. Based on the results obtained, a matrix for determining the potential for the transition of companies to the use and analytics of Big Data was built. According to the results of which, it can be argued that, on average, about 45% of the analyzed companies have a high potential for the transition to digital development, and an average level of potential is 24%. In the context of the categories of farms, the results for the surveyed agricultural cooperatives, traders and exporters are higher than the average indicators.

The article deals with the development of small business forms and the main ways of obtaining state support in the agricultural sector. Small agricultural enterprises play an important role in providing the population with affordable food, are the basis for the preservation of the rural population and rural areas. The purpose of the work is to analyze possible directions of state support for the development of small and medium-sized agricultural businesses in the region. To achieve the research goal several general scientific and special methods: deduction, system analysis and statistical and economic methods of analysis were used. The conducted research made it possible to give a detailed assessment of the agricultural produced goods and analyze the existing ways of obtaining state support for small agricultural businesses. State support for farmers and agricultural cooperatives is implemented in Krasnoyarsk Territory, there is a state program: «Development of agriculture and regulation of markets for agricultural products, raw materials and food», the national project «Small and medium-sized entrepreneurship and support of individual entrepreneurial initiative», the regional project «Creation of the support system of farmers and development of rural cooperation». State support of small agricultural business is one of the key development tools. Under this programme, the State provides financial assistance, training, counselling and other support to small agrarian enterprises. In general, state support for small agrarian businesses in the Krasnoyarsk Territory is an important tool for the development of the region. Thanks to this approach, many small enterprises have been able to expand their business and improve the quality of life of their employees.
