Abstract:Novel dinuclear nickel complexes bridged by two hydrogencyanamido (NCNH–) ligands [(NiL)2(µ2‐NHCN‐N,N′)2]2+ have been synthesized and structurally characterized. X‐ray diffraction analysis suggests that each hydrogencyanamido ligand coordinates as a cyanamide anion (N≡C–NH–) rather than a carbodiimide anion (N+=C=NH–). The structure of the central (NiNCN)2 ring skeleton varies slightly depending on the ancillary ligands, which affects strength of the Ni···Ni antiferromagnetic coupling judging from the SQUID me… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
