Direct interhemispheric cortical communication via thalamic commissures: a new white-matter pathway in the primate brain

Abstract: Cortical neurons of eutherian mammals project to the contralateral hemisphere, crossing the midline primarily via the corpus callosum and the anterior, posterior, and hippocampal commissures.
