“…The hallmark of a pure d-wave OP in the tunneling spectra is the zero bias conductance peak (ZBCP) observed for tunneling along and near the nodal [110] direction [5][6][7][8][9][10][11] , reflecting the existence of surface Andreev bound states at the Fermi level [12][13][14][15][16] . In addition, U and V-shaped gaps can be seen, respectively, in the [100] and [001] directions 8, 11 , 15, 17, 18 .…”

“…38 A distinct manifestation of these MSS is the zero-bias conductance peak (ZBCP) observed in the N/S tunneling spectra on various unconventional superconductors, 36,39,40 sometimes with robust spectral height and sharpness. 41 These MSS are also manifested in penetration-depth measurements. 42,43 Midgap quasiparticle states can also form about an isolated real-space nodal line of a tanh(x)-like OP inside the superconductor as a result of repeated Andreev reflections alone, without involving specular reflection and thus the OP sign reversal in momentum-space [see Fig.…”

“…We note that similar zero bias peak in the conductance spectrum has been reported as a signature of d-wave superconductivity in many superconductors including cuprates 23,24 and PuCoGa 5 . 25 In such studies, the zero-bias peak is regarded as evidence for a finite quasiparticle density of states FIG.…”
