Abstract:Background
We used Mendelian randomization (MR) to investigate the causal relationship between inflammation-associated proteins, LBP , and potential metabolite mediators.
Methods
Using the aggregated data of genome-wide association studies (GWAS), the causal relationship between inflammatory proteins and LBP was explored by two-way MR Analysis, and potential mediating metabolites were identified by two-step MR. Sensitivity analysis was performed to further verify the robustness of the results

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
