Abstract:Disseminated intravascular coagulopathy (DIC) is usually a very acute, serious complication of pregnancy. Obstetric conditions associated with DIC include abruptio placentae, induced abortion, intrauterine fetal death, sepsis, amniotic fluid embolism, preeclampsia, eclampsia, hydatiform mole, placentae accreta, and massive hemorrhage (1).
