Dissociative Anesthesia in Macaco, mulatta

Abstract: Cl 744, an experimental dissociative anesthetic, is a mixture consisting of the phencyclidine derivative Tiletamine Hydrochloride (Cl 634) and Flupyrazapon (Cl 716), an agent having minor tranquilizing properties. The intramuscular administration of Cl 744 at a dose of 3 mgs/kg of body weight produces smooth induction without excitement within 2-3 minutes.
