Distal pancreatectomy with or without radical approach, vascular resections and splenectomy: Easier does not always mean easy

Abstract: Because distal pancreatectomy (DP) has no reconstructive steps and less frequent vascular involvement, it is thought to be the easier counterpart of pancreaticoduodenectomy.
