Distance and entropy measures for dual hesitant fuzzy sets

Abstract: Dual hesitant fuzzy sets (DHFSs), which consist of the membership and the nonmembership hesitancy function, offer a flexible tool when decision makers give their opinions. The main aim of this paper is to investigate distance and entropy measures for DHFSs. We first propose new distance measures between hesitant fuzzy sets (HFSs), which avoid the issue of extension process in the existing distance measures. On this basis, we propose several distance measures for DHFSs, where the dual hesitant fuzzy elements (D… Show more

“…Various kinds of fuzzy entropy have been put forward one after another, intuitionistic fuzzy entropy measures (Rahimi et al, 2021), Pythagorean fuzzy entropy measures (Thao & Smarandache, 2019;T. T. Xu et al, 2020), hesitant fuzzy entropy measure (Anees et al, 2020), dual hesitant fuzzy entropy measure (H. M. Zhang, 2020) in the corresponding fuzzy environment, DHF entropy measure (Hao et al, 2017).…”

“…Liu et al 58 illustrated some distance measures for DHFS based on connection numbers and discussed several identities and relationships between them. Zhang et al 59 investigated some improved distance measures for HFSs and DHFSs to avoid the issue of extension process in the previous distance measures. They also provide various entropy measures for DHFSs, which describe the fuzziness of DHFSs.…”

“…Wang et al [16] proposed a new dual hesitation fuzzy distance metric for the multiattribute decision-making problem with completely unknown attribute weights. Zhang [17] proposed several distance measurements and entropy measurement methods for dual hesitation fuzzy sets, which avoided the process of data expansion and overcame the problem of information loss to a certain extent. Combining the DHFS, Wei et al [18] proposed some dual hesitant Pythagorean fuzzy Hamy mean aggregation operators, which are more valid for dealing with the MADM problem.…”
