Abstract:This paper is concerned with the divergence points with fast growth orders of the partial quotients in continued fractions. Let S be a nonempty interval. We are interested in the size of the set of divergence pointswhere A denotes the collection of accumulation points of a sequence and φ : N → N with φ(n)/n → ∞ as n → ∞. Mainly, it is shown, in the case φ being polynomial or exponential function, that the Hausdor dimension of E φ (S) is a constant. Examples are also given to indicate that the above results can… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
