Divergent perspectives: Autistic adults’ perceptions of the police

Abstract: Findingsindicate that autistic respondents vary in their perceptions of the police. Prior negative experiences with police have a stronger influence on perceptions than do positive experiences. Support for awareness campaigns is also varied.
