DOAC — not for everyone, and sometimes at different dose

Abstract: Direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs) are used in Europe over a decade. One of their favourable properties is a stable prophylactic or therapeutic drug dose. Sometimes, however, it is preferred to use older antithrombotic drugs (vitamin K antagonists, heparins) or -in some clinical situations -to modify the standard recommended drug dose.
