Does International Service-Learning Deliver? A Study with Control Groups of One University's Experience with Canada's Queen Elizabeth Scholars Internship Program

Abstract: This study assesses the extent to which a medium-term international service learning (ISL) project led by a Canadian university in partnership with sub-Saharan African universities achieves five objectives with respect to the interns: increasing local and global community engagement, activating leaders, developing global citizens, personal and professional growth, and enhancing Canadian and international networking.
