Abstract:The conventional preformed particle gel (PPG) has certain problems of relatively poor strength and easy shear crushing after swelling during the in‐depth conformance control process in low‐permeability fractured reservoirs. Herein, a novel double‐network PPG (DN‐CPPG) based on biopolymer (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, HPMC) and hydrophobic association (C16 hydrophobic chain) was synthesized using a radical polymerization approach. The chemical structure, microscopic morphologies, and thermal tolerance were fi… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
