Drilling Related Performance

Abstract: Control of capital expenditure on drilling/completion operations is important. In many instances the cost of drilling has meant that projects were deferred or cancelled completely. This paper discusses the factors which should be considered in reducing drilling/ completion costs by improving performance in the well pre-planning to well on production, cycle.Major technological advances in-equipment utilised in all aspects of drilling operations are also discussed, highlighting their benefits.
