Drinking Water Usage Preferences of Women Who Apply to Family Health Centers in Meram District of Konya City Center

Abstract

In this study, it was aimed to determine drinking water preferences and causes of preference in women in Meram district, which is one of the central districts of Konya.Methods: This descriptive study was conducted on women over 18 years of age who applied to the randomly selected five family health centers in Meram district.The sample size of the study was calculated as 158 by using appropriate sampling size methods. The data were collected by a questionnaire using face-to-face interview technique. Descriptive statistics and chi-square test were used in data analysis. p<0.05 was considered as statistically significant. Results:The mean age of the 158 women who participated in the study was 38.4 ± 14.3. It was determined that 36.7% of the participants was using the demijohn water as the drinking water, 23.4% of them was preferring the mains water and 22.8% of them was preferring the fresh water fountains. Water Consumption Habits of a North-Western Turkish Community: A Cross-Sectional Study
