Dual Arm Patch Antenna for Wideband Applications Using Metamaterial

Abstract: In this paper, a dual arm patch antenna for wideband applications has been presented using metamaterial. The proposed antenna has a percentage impedance bandwidth (S 11 \ -10 dB) of 65.1 % (at center frequency of 3.7 GHz). The proposed structure consists of two arms having rectangular patch etched with complimentary split ring resonator (CSRR) while ground plane is partial.
