Dual band bandpass filter using stub loaded stepped impedance resonator for wireless application

Abstract: This paper presents a novel design of a compact dual band bandpass filter using stub loaded stepped impendence resonator. The center frequency of passband is 2.4 GHz and 3.75 GHz suitable for WLAN and WiMAX applications. The insertion loss at each passband is within 1.5 dB. Transmission zeros at either side of the passband renders high selectivity. The stop band performance of this dual band filter is satisfactory with the stop band extending up to 7 GHz.
