“…Since the heading face involves drilling, blasting and other operations that generate a lot of dust, auxiliary ventilation is necessary and mixed ventilation is used more. For example, Li et al [22] used computational fluid dynamics to investigate the diffusion and transport of dust under different conditions and applied grey correlation analysis to investigate the correlation values of the factors influencing dust diffusion in the shotcrete working area, concluding that the dust concentration in the tunnel decreases, the diffusion distance becomes smaller and the proportion of dust particles settling increases in a high-altitude environment. Chang et al [23] analyzed the air flow characteristics and DPM concentration distribution in the heading face and validated the simulation results using field measurement data, concluding that longer duct lengths in the existing ventilation system have better DPM dilution performance.…”
