Dynamic Analysis of a Magnetohydrodynamic Journal Bearing of Circular Cross Section in a Rotating Coordinate Frame

Abstract: An infinite journal bearing of circular cross section lubricated with an electrically conducting fluid has been considered for this study. Unlike previous studies involving such bearings encountered by the authors, a rotating coordinate system has been used for deriving the dynamic parameters of the bearing.
