Dynamic Fault Classification and Location in Distribution Networks

Abstract: This paper presents a method for detecting, classifying and localizing faults in MV distribution networks. This method is based on only two samples of current or voltage signals. The fault detection, faultclassification and fault localization are based on the maximum value of current and voltage as a function of time.
