Dynamic Traffic grooming in hybrid elastic optical and WiMAX networks

Abstract: Designing low cost scalable networks is driven by increased internet traffic and high bandwidth demand. Optical networks combined with WiMAX forming a hybrid network is one such structure. The existing Wavelength Division Multiplexed Passive Optical Networks suffer from huge bandwidth wastage when the demands are very small compared to the channel capacity.
