Abstract:Deformation microstructure of a microalloyed homogenized high‐Mn steel is investigated after hot compression at 900 °C. EBSD and TEM investigations of deformation microstructure reveal that in the absence of significant dynamic recrystallized grains, planar dislocation structures, microbands, TiC precipitates, as well as HCP martensite are formed within the hot deformed austenite grains. Interestingly, EBSD reveals the presence of twin‐like structures and kink band in the austenite after hot deformation, for t… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
