Ecofriendly high‐performance thin‐layer chromatography‐densitometric method for determination of a new triple pharmaceutical combination targeting Helicobacter pylori eradication along with greenness profile assessment

Abstract: Herein, an ecofriendly, simple, accurate, and cost‐effective high‐performance thin‐layer chromatography‐densitometic method was developed and optimized for separation and estimation of the novel triple therapy combination of Tinidazole, Clarithromycin, and Lansoprazole for treatment of Helicobacter pylori infection. Successful chromatographic separation was established using high‐performance thin‐layer chromatography silica gel 60 F254 plates as stationary phase and a developing system consisted of ethanol‐ace… Show more

“…At 210 nm, the bands' scanning was completed. The proposed approach has been extensively verified and is appropriate to use in routine quality control of the tested pharmaceuticals in their dosage form, with average percent recoveries of 99.97± 0.62, 100.89± 0.51, and 99.78± 0.56% for Clarithromycin, Tinidazole, and Lansoprazole, correspondingly (38).…”

“…Green chemistry is considered a great challenging approach for introducing reliable, accurate, and effective methods without producing harm or hazard to humans and the environment via using green solvents, minimizing waste production, sample preparation, and energy of the instrument used [1]. Worldwide attention become focused on developing methods which were following the green analytical procedures [2][3][4][5]. Phloroglucinol (PHG), (1,3,5-trihydroxybenzene) Figure 1A, is antispasmodic drug, which has another uses in pharmaceuticals' synthesis, explosives and in printing as coupling agent.…”
