Ectopic tonsil in the floor of the mouth: A case report

Abstract: Tonsil tissue not located at known anatomical locations at the entry of aero-digestive system is called ectopic tonsil. This is rarely presented clinically and may lead to diagnostic confusion when encountered. The diagnosis of ectopic tonsil is challenging as it is usually asymptomatic and requires histopathological examination for definitive diagnosis.
