Abstract:Intercalation and in‐situ polymerization of POPD within MMT was successfully accomplished using sonochemical technique. Montmorillonite/poly(o‐phenylenediamine) (MMT/POPD) nanocomposites (NCs) were checked for their antimicrobial activity against four bacterial strains. The antibacterial activity of MMT/POPD NCs was investigated against E. coli, S. aureus, P. aeruginosa and B. subtilisby broth micro‐dilution and agar well diffusion methods. Furthermore, the effective concentration (EC50) and minimum inhibitory… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
