Editorial for Special Issue “Advances in the Pathogenesis and Treatment of Immune-Mediated Inflammatory Diseases”

Abstract

This Special Issue focuses on the rapidly evolving field of immune-mediated inflammatory diseases (IMIDs) and the achievements that were made over the last 10 years. With the advent of novel technologies such as single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNAseq) and state-of-the-art imaging techniques, researchers in our field have made tremendous progress in unraveling the pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis (RA), vasculitis and systemic lupus erythematosus, as well as “autoinflammatory” diseases such as spondyloarthritis (SpA) and fever syndromes.
