“…The continuous availability of bioflocs particles as an alternative food source may contribute to the higher fish survival in biofloc treatment (BFT4) by the reduction of agonistic behaviour during feeding (Almaz an-Rueda,Schrama, & Verreth, 2004;Kaiser, Weyl, & Hecht, 1995) and the cannibalism in early juveniles(Al-Hafedh & Ali, 2004). This is supported by the growing evidences on the beneficial effects of bioflocs on the immunity of some aquaculture species (among others,Ahmad et al, 2016;Ekasari et al, 2014;Long, Yang, Li, Guan, & Wu, 2015; Further study to confirm the consumption and the nutrient utilization of bioflocs by African catfish using a tracer such as stable isotope is indeed an interesting topic to be explored.The stable environment and the consumption of bioflocs might contribute to improvement of the fish health condition.…”
