Effect of copper vanadate sintering aid on the microstructure and dielectric properties of (Zn, Mg)TiO3 ceramics

Abstract: Copper vanadate compounds (abbreviated to CVO) were synthesized to accelerate the sinterability of (Zn 0.7 Mg 0.3 )TiO 3 ceramics (abbreviated to ZMT). CVOdoped ZMT ceramics were prepared by a conventional mixed-oxide method. The phase structure, morphology and dielectric properties of ceramics were investigated. The results show that ZMT ceramics with 0.2 wt% CVO addition can be well sintered to approach 98 % theoretical density at 950°C. At the same time, CVO addition inhibits the exaggerated grain growth an… Show more

“…In Liu's research, V2O5 was synthesized with copper (Cu) to become CVO. The CVO material will be doped with (Zn0.7Mg0.3)TiO3 so that the best results say the sintering temperature drops to 950 o C when 0.2% by weight of CVO is added [14]. In another research, adding V2O5 can lower the sintering temperature of Zn0.8Mg0.2TiO3 at 1100 o C for 4 hours to get a density of 90% [21].…”
