Effect of Different Environment and their Interactions on Growth and Yield of Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) Cultivars

Abstract: during winter season of 2016-17 to study performance in and outside of poly-house to find out the most suitable and best cultivar, environment and interactions for growth, yield and quality of tomato fruits. The experiment was laid out in factorial randomized block design (R.B.D.) with three replications. Each replication consisted of eight treatment combinations viz., two tomato cultivars i.e., Pant Poly-house Tomato-2 (V1) and Pant Poly-house Hybrid Tomato -1 (V2), four environments (viz., E4-poly-house + sp… Show more

“…The application of ZPT GA can also increase tomato germination in unfavorable conditions (Martins et al, 2018) (Martins et al 2018;Pramanik et al 2018;Shohat et al 2021;Ogugua et al 2022). Increased productivity of tomatoes given the ZPT GA3 was also reported in tomatoes grown in Bangladesh (Rahman et al, 2015), India (Kumar et al 2018;Jakhar et al 2018), and Nepal (Jha et al, 2022). ZPTs such as cytokines, brassinosteroids, and gibberellins can also be used to induce parthenocarpy, producing few or no seeds (Raja and Rani 2021;Sharif et al 2022).…”

“…Hence, numerous studies have investigated the effects of GA on seed development and fruit growth [ 27 ]. It has been demonstrated that the utilization of GA can improve the firmness of tomato fruits by augmenting the concentrations of ascorbic acid, soluble solids, and fruit weight [ 28 , 29 ]. Research has shown that the suppression of the levels of GA through overexpression of the GA catabolism gene SlGA2ox1 in tomato fruit tissues may result in early ripening, suggesting a negative role of GAs in the tomato FR process [ 30 ].…”

“…Bio-fertilization, sense of root development, resistance to established stressors, and rhizoremediation are a few examples of direct impacts on plant development advancement [11,12,13]. Enhancing plant enzymatic mobility and managing plant microorganisms may indirectly promote plant development [14] Furthermore, bio-stimulatory compounds are known to be a successful way to repair semi-arid areas and damaged ecosystems by boosting microbial activity and improving soil biology [15,16,17,18].…”
