Effect of Divalent Tin on the SnSAPO-5 Molecular Sieve and Its Modulation to Alumina Support To Form a Highly Efficient NiW Catalyst for Deep Hydrodesulfurization of 4,6-Dimethyldibenzothiophene

Abstract: The SnSAPO-5 molecular sieve containing divalent tin in the framework was successfully synthesized and analyzed by XRD, XPS, XRF, N 2 -asdorption desorption isotherms, NH 3 -TPD, Py-IR, and 27 Al and 31 P NMR. The results show that the trivalent aluminum is substituted by divalent tin in the framework of SnSAPO-5, generating a P((4−n)Al,nSn) (n = 1− 4) environment, which increases the number of Lewis and Brønsted acid sites. “…To confirm the interaction between the unsaturated V n + cations and the carbonyl group in fatty aldehydes, we conducted an in situ pyridine-IR experiment to probe the acidity of the catalyst with preadsorbed octanal. The spectra of fresh untreated Ni-VO x /SiO 2 featured peaks centered at 1450 and 1540 cm –1 and corresponded to Lewis and Brønsted acid sites, respectively (Figure A). , Notably, no desorption was observed until 150 °C, which suggests the strong interaction between pyridine and the V n + cations in Ni-VO x /SiO 2 .
