Effect of electron density gradient on power absorption during gigahertz electromagnetic wave propagating in cold plasma

Abstract: Considering the effect of electron density gradient, an analytical, parameter adjustable density distribution function is presented, and a multislab plasma model is used to investigate power absorption of gigahertz electromagnetic waves between 0.20 and 30 GHz in a partially ionized cold plasma layer.
