Abstract: Background Partial neuromuscular blockade (NMB) has been applied for some surgeries to reduce bleeding and prevent patient movement for spinal surgery. Sugammadex selectively binds to rocuronium in the plasma and consequently lowers the rocuronium concentration at the neuromuscular junction.
