Effect of multilayer coatings based on zirconium and titanium on wear resistance of carbide tools during turning of stainless steel

Abstract: In this article, the influence of coatings of the type (Ti—Zr)N—TiN, TiN—ZrN and ZrN—(Ti—Zr)N—TiN obtained by physical vapor deposition on the wear resistance of T15K6 cemented carbides plates during longitudinal turning blanks from stainless steel 12X18H10T is considered.
