Abstract:Using a frequency comb as frequency reference to calibrate the instantaneous frequency of a tuning laser allows high spectral resolution and a wide calibration range. A classical method to obtain the instantaneous frequency of the laser under test is by filtering the heterodyne signal between the frequency comb and the tunable laser with a narrow bandpass filter. For free-running femtosecond lasers, the phase noise of the comb lines affects the instantaneous frequency of the heterodyne signal and the envelope … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
