Abstract:Polyaxial locking plates rely on a specific thread-to-thread interface of the screw head and the plate hole. The objective of this study was to evaluate the mechanical performance of single screw interfaces when inserted off-axis and to establish correlations between those parameters and the engagement of the screw head and the plate hole thread.
